Résumé of Rebecca Cave, FCA CTA MBA BSc
On qualification as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG I moved to the medium sized firm of Robson Rhodes to pursue my interest in taxation, where I qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 1991. While at Robson Rhodes I found time to study for an MBA at the University of East Anglia and was awarded the masters degree with distinction in 1996. The research for my MBA thesis (The Careers of Female Chartered Accountants) encouraged me to change my career direction and become a writer, initially working for the weekly paper Accountancy Age. Following a spell back in practice I found my ideal job as a Tax Editor for Thomson Tax, a division of Gee Publishing. Regrettably in 2000 Gee prematurely canned the Thomson Tax Library, a full tax library on CD-Rom, and I was set free to pursue my freelance career. Career Summary
